父・グレッグさんはワラビーズのフランカー。2017年、ブリスベンのクラブチームでプレーしていたところをパナソニックのロビー・ディーンズ監督に見出された。スマートなプレーが持ち味。トップリーグ2021全11試合に先発。2試合ではゲームキャプテンも務めた。
Son of former Wallabies flanker Greg Cornelsen. He caught attention from Panasonic Wild Knights head coach, Robbie Deans, while playing club rugby in Brisbane. A smart guy who uses his instincts, he was in the starting line-up for all 11 matches in the Top League 2021 and also served captain in two matches.
