The fifth and final round of the Japan Rugby Top League Cup 2019 takes place on Friday, 19 June and Saturday, 20 June 2019 at various locations across Japan.
In the first of three Friday games, Suntory and Panasonic go head to head at the Chichibu ground in Tokyo. The winner of this keenly awaited clash will take top spot in Pool A.
Elsewhere, Pool B rivals NTT Docomo and NTT Communications meet in Osaka with the latter holding the edge in the favoritism stakes. Meanwhile, Kobe host NEC at the Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium with the home side looking to keep their undefeated record intact in Pool D.
The other eight games are slated for Saturday, starting with Ricoh playing Mazda at Chichibu in Pool D.
In a double header at the Sagamihara Gion Stadium in Kanagawa prefecture, Shimizu play Kurita (Pool A) in the early game and Mitsubishi Sagamihara play Canon in the latter game in Pool C.
In another double header, this time at Suzuka city in Mie prefecture, Toyota Industries play Kintetsu (Pool D) in the early game and Honda play Hino (Pool A) in the late game.
Further, in a third Saturday double header, at the Level-5 Stadium in Fukuoka, Kyuden play Toshiba in the first game and Sanix play Yamaha in the second game. Toshiba should win this one to top the Pool B standings while pride is at stake for Yamaha as they look for only their third win in Pool B.
In the final game of round five, Kyushu-based Coca-Cola stay on the island to face Kamaishi in their Pool C encounter.
