JRFU to Host Japan Rugby Exhibition & Panel Discussion in Paris

The Japan Rugby Football Union is delighted to announce that it will hold an exhibition celebrating Japan Rugby History and Culture at the Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris. Running from Tuesday, 17 October until Saturday, 28 October, the event will introduce Japanese rugby to visitors from around the world who are in Paris for Rugby World Cup 2023.

Entitled ‘Le Rugby Japonais Aujourd’hui et Demain’ (The present and future of Japanese Rugby), the exhibition will feature a display of Brave Blossom’s jerseys from every Rugby World Cup, from 1987 to 2023. The exhibition will also introduce the history and more recent developments in Japanese rugby, as well as innovative digital fan engagement displays and a rugby-themed manga exhibition. Japan Rugby official merchandise will also be available for purchase.

To mark the occasion, a special panel discussion event entitled ‘Rugby Fan Experience 2023’ will be held at the exhibition venue on Tuesday, 24 October from 18:00 local time. The theme of the event will look at the modern fan experience in rugby and the wider sporting market and discuss future trends and expectations for further development and optimisation in fan engagement.

Following the panel discussion, guests will join for a casual reception, including a sake-tasting. Advance registration is required to attend the panel discussion, which will close when capacity is reached.
