Japan to play South Africa in RWC Warm-up: Kick-off Time Confirmed

On 17 December 2018, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced that Japan would play South Africa in a warm-up match for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The match will be played at the Kumagaya Rugby Stadium in Saitama prefecture on Friday, 6 September 2019 with the kick-off time of 7:15 pm.

This will be the first time for the South African national rugby side to visit Japan and only the second test match to be played between the two countries. In the one and only previous encounter, Japan beat South Africa 34-32 in a surprise upset at Brighton during the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.
