Lipovitan D Challenge Cup 2017

On 17 February 2017, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced that the in-bound tours by Romania and Ireland in June 2017 would be known as the Lipovitan D Challenge Cup 2017.

The Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has been an official sponsor of the Japan national side since 2001 and an official partner since 2016. Furthermore, since 2002, the company has sponsored test match series between Japan and overseas national teams as the Lipovitan D Challenge and the Lipovitan D Challenge Cup.

Additionally, on the same day, the Union announced the kick-off times for the tests between Japan and Romania and then Ireland.
