Japan Rugby Top League 2016-2017 Season: The Century Club

In round 10 of the 2016-17 Japan Rugby Top League season, NEC Green Rockets prop Yuta Inose played his one hundredth Top League game. The 34-year-old Inose became the fifty-ninth player to join the century club against Kintetsu Liners at the Hanazono Rugby Ground in Osaka on Saturday 3 December 2016. He made his Top League debut with NEC against Yamaha at this same venue in December 2004. Inose played six tests for Japan in 2008.

In round 13 of the 2016-17 Japan Rugby Top League season, Panasonic Wild Knights halfback Fumiaki Tanaka played his one hundredth Top League game. The 31-year-old Tanaka became the sixtieth player to join the century club against Munakata Sanix Blues at the Level-5 Stadium in Fukuoka on Saturday 24 December 2016. He made his Top League debut with Sanyo Wild Knights against Kubota Spears at Ota city in October 2007. Tanaka is the most-capped halfback for Japan and he currently has 58 caps to his name.

In round 13 of the 2016-17 Japan Rugby Top League season, Panasonic Wild Knights lock Daniel Heenan played his one hundredth Top League game. The 35-year-old Australian-born Heenan became the sixty-first player to join the century club against Munakata Sanix Blues at the Level-5 Stadium in Fukuoka on Saturday 24 December 2016. He made his Top League debut with Sanyo Wild Knights against Kubota Spears at Ota city in October 2007. Heenan is in his tenth year with the club and as well as earning two caps for the Wallabies, he has also represented Japan at Sevens.
