Junior Japan at the World Rugby Pacific Challenge 2018

The World Rugby Pacific Challenge 2018 was held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, Fiji from Friday 9 March to Saturday 17 March 2018. Junior Japan, Tonga A, Samoa A and hosts Fiji Warriors were the four participating teams.

Junior Japan opened their account with a 45-28 win over Tonga A before falling 28-3 to Fiji Warriors 28-3 in their second game mid-week. Junior Japan finished the tournament with a rousing 29-21 win over Samoa A.

Fiji Warriors took the Pacific Challenge title for the third year in a row with 15 points from three straight bonus-point wins. Junior Japan were runners-up with 10 points from two wins and one loss, Samoa A were third with 5 points from one win and two losses while Tonga A brought up the rear with one point from their three losses.
