HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2016-2017: Hong Kong

The 2017 Hong Kong Sevens is round seven of the 2016-17 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Japan are one of the fifteen core teams in the main draw of the series and they are in Pool C along with Fiji, New Zealand and Wales. South Korea is the sixteenth and final team at the tournament.

A further 12 sides will participate in the qualifying tournament with the winner accorded core status for next season.

Sakura Sevens

The Japan Women’s Sevens team, known as the Sakura Sevens will also be playing in Hong Kong. The Sakura Sevens are in the qualifying tournament with the winner accorded core status for next season. This tournament will take place on Thursday and Friday at the So Kon Po Stadium with the final at the Hong Kong Stadium.
