Japan Under-18s to Tour Europe in April

The Japan Under-18 representative side is slated to participate in the 2017 Rugby Europe Men’s U18 European Championship. France will host this age-grade championship from Friday 7 April to Saturday 15 April 2017.

Along with France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and Georgia, Japan, Canada and the USA have been invited to participate. In the opening round on Friday 7 April, France play Spain, Georgia take on Canada, Japan face Belgium and the USA match it with Portugal. The following round match-ups on Tuesday 11 April depend on the results of the opening round with the positional play-offs taking place on Saturday 15 April.

Players born between 1 January 1999 and 31 December 2000 are eligible for selection. This Under-18 European Championship has been played since 2004 and Japan will participate for the first time.
