Japan Team Announced for HSBC Los Angeles Sevens
The Japan
Rugby Football Union is happy to announce the Japan Men’s Sevens Team to play
at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Los Angeles, from August 27 to 28.
The team will be led by co-captains Kazuma Nakagawa and Yuki Ishii and will see one new debutant in no.13 Yoshiyuki Koga from the Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo. Meanwhile, Japan Sevens veteran Kameli Raravou Latianara Soejima is set to earn his 43rd Sevens cap for Japan.
Japan Men’s Sevens National Team Interim Head Coach, Koichi Umeda commented:
“We have been preparing for two months with the goal of winning our pool matches on day one. From the first kick-off, the team will be play with all their heart, at full effort. We look forward to the support of our fans back in Japan and around the world as we take on the world’s best in Los Angeles.”
Japan are set to take on Australia, Spain and Argentina in Pool A.
