New Japan National Team Jersey Revealed
The Japan Rugby Football Union are delighted to announce the arrival of the new Japan National Team Fifteens Jersey to be worn by both the Brave Blossoms and Sakura Fifteen. The new jersey is designed and produced by Goldwyn Inc, an official partner of the Japan Rugby Football Union and representative of the Canterbury brand in Japan.
The theme of the home jersey design is Kabuki and it’s inspired by kabuki’s kumadori motif which expresses the strength and dynamism of Japan’s national teams. The design is based on the spirit of Japanese rugby which, like Kabuki, will continue to flourish as part of Japanese culture for many years to come.
The Brave Blossoms will debut the new jersey when they take on Wales in the first of their Lipovitan D Challenge Cup 2025 test matches on Saturday, July 5. The Sakura Fifteen will then wear it for the first time in the first of their two-test, Taiyo Seimei Japan Rugby Challenge Series 2025 matches against Spain on Saturday, July 19. They will also proudly wear the design at Rugby World Cup 2025 in England.
The replica jersey will be available for pre-order from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 June and will go on sale from Friday 27 June at Canterbury Stores nationwide and via the Goldwin Online Store.
We look forward to the success of the Japan National Teams while wearing the new jersey and we thank all our fans for their ongoing support.
