Japan Set to Face France, USA and Samoa in RWC2027 Pool E
Following the Rugby World Cup 2027 Pool Draw in Sydney, the Brave Blossoms have been drawn in Pool E alongside France, USA and Samoa. With less than two years to go before the tournament kicks off in Perth on October 1, 2027, excitement is building across the rugby world in anticipation for the next World Cup Down Under.

Commenting on the Pool Draw, JRFU President Masato Tsuchida said:
“Having been drawn in Pool E alongside France, USA and Samoa, we now look forward to each and every match. With less than two years to go until the tournament, we feel a heightened sense of purpose. With 24 teams participating in 2027, the battle for the Webb Ellis Cup will draw even greater global attention. Our objective for the Brave Blossoms is to once again reach the Semi Finals, and we are confident that Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia will be a truly magnificent tournament.”
Japan National Team Head Coach Eddie Jones added:
“The draw has been finalised, and we have two years to go before the World Cup. A line has been drawn in the sand, so we know who we are going to play and who we’ve got to prepare for. It’s now about maximising the next two years to ensure we go to the World Cup as the best prepared team in the tournament.”
