全5試合に先発出場した RWC2019では、頑健な体躯を活かしたパワープレーと周囲との連係でチームを前に出した。サントリーでは2020-2021シーズンに主将を務め、統率力も発揮。緩急を使ったプレーも駆使し、テクニックの幅がさらに広がったことを証明した。
Having starred in all five RWC 2019 matches, Ryoto led the team with his powerful play, taking advantage of his physical strength and excellent understanding of teamwork. He captained for Suntory in the 2020-2021 season and showed high leadership skills. By making the most of fast and slow plays, he widened his range and demonstrated his unique technique.
