JRFU Promotes 2022 Nationwide Rugby Experience Program


The Japan Rugby Football Union is happy to announce that its Nationwide Rugby Experience program is set to run again between March and June this year. Operating since 2018, the program was designed by the JRFU in collaboration with rugby schools and junior clubs throughout Japan, to capture and utilize the increase in rugby interest among pre-school, elementary and junior high school students in the lead up to and following Rugby World Cup 2019

While the 2020 the program was cancelled due to the global pandemic, the 2021 addition saw more than 4,000 children and students participating in various rugby experience events throughout the country. The JRFU is looking to build significantly on these numbers for this year’s program with a total of 485 rugby schools taking part.

The schedule and status of events related to the 2022 Nationwide Rugby Experience program will be announced on each rugby school’s website and on their social media channels.
