Japan Men’s Sevens Team Announced for Seville Sevens
The Japan Rugby Football Union is delighted to announce the Japan Men’s Sevens Team to play at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Seville, Spain from January 28 to 30.
Led by co-captains Kazuma Nakagawa and Yuki Ishii, the team sees two changes from last weekend’s Malaga Sevens with debutants Haruhiko Uemura and Yu Okudaira replacing
Taisei Hayashi and Yoshihiro Noguchi, who both picked up injuries during last week’s competition.
The two debutants, Uemura (21yrs) and Okudaira (22yrs) are both university students and play for their respective university teams in Japan’s university competition.
Japan are joined in Pool C by England, France, and Wales.
