Sakura Fifteen Players Turn Out for Barbarians

After the recent Sakura Fifteen tour of Europe, team captain Saki Minami (Yokogawa Musashino Artemi-Stars) and Seina Saito (Mie Women’s RFC Pearls) were invited to play for the Barbarians Women against Wales Women at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday, 30 November 2019.
Players from ten different nations turned out for the Barbarians who went on to beat their hosts 29-15.
Minami and Saito were the first Japanese women to play for the Barbarians.It was a historic double header at the Principality Stadium with Wales beating the Barbarians 43-33 in the men’s version after the women’s game.

Earlier in the month, the Japan women’s side draw 17-all with Italy Women in L’Aquila and then beat Scotland Women 24-20 in Glasgow,
