Venue Pencilled in for Wallabies

On 15 March 2017, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced the venue for the test match against Australia in November.

Japan will play Australia at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture on Saturday, 4 November 2017 with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed.

At the announcement, Japan head coach Jamie Joseph made the following comment, “It’s great that the very first test match for Nissan Stadium is against the Wallabies, who was the runner-up in RWC2015. Nissan Stadium is where the RWC2019 final will take place so I’m sure the players will relish the opportunity to play on such a meaningful stadium against one of the best teams in the world. We can’t wait.”
